Apparently, this car was delivered new to Africa and once owned by famed actor Carroll O’Connor, as told to me by a Phantom III historian on my old website. This is powered by a 7.3L V12 and a four-speed manual. Acceleration from 0-60 took a leisurely 16.8 seconds and it topped out at 87 MPH, though not bad figures for that era. Only 727 were ever produced, between 1936 and 1939. The timing of its release was quite off; with the entire country mired in the Great Depression, few could afford such extravagances. This was the first V12 Rolls-Royce and indeed the only one until 1998.
